Today, we shall explore Landroid Vision’s performance, features, and overall value, bringing you a detailed analysis to help you make an informed decision. Without further ado, let’s uncover what Worx Vision has in store for all lawn care enthusiasts.

Pros and cons

The Landroid Vision presents a mix of advantages and drawbacks, making it a noteworthy contender in the world of robotic lawnmowers. On the positive side, one of its standout features is the elimination of the need to lay down boundary wires, providing you with an effortless setup process.

Moreover, its object detection capabilities ensure efficient navigation around obstacles, enhancing overall mowing performance. Additionally, you can appreciate the unit’s commendable cutting and mulching abilities, which contribute to maintaining a pristine lawn. However, it’s important to consider the cons as well. 

One major downside is the price, which can be discouraging for some users. Additionally, while you don’t have to lay down boundary wires, you still need to use magnetic strips to create no-go zones. While the unit has great cutting performance, it still has some trouble when learning the environment.

Additionally, the cutting height is adjustable to suit specific lawn requirements. The Landroid Vision’s water-resistant and weatherproof body, along with a rain sensor, ensures optimal performance in different weather conditions. Lastly, the convenience of multi-zone management using RFID tags simplifies movement across different lawn sections, making the Worx Vision a versatile and efficient lawnmower.

Performance and navigation

The performance and navigation of the Vision showcase a mix of strengths and weaknesses. Despite lacking a systematic mowing pattern, the lawnmower delivers clean and precise cuts, thanks to its floating mowing deck and high rotational speed. However, during initial runs, some adjustments are necessary, highlighting areas for potential improvement.

The design of the Landroid Vision showcases a thoughtful approach to functionality and aesthetics. Exclusively compatible with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, the unit adopts a futuristic appearance distinct from conventional robotic lawnmowers.

Funnily enough, during mowing, it may give the impression of driving backward. Positioned on the front, the 140-degree wide-angle HDR camera utilizes AI technology to learn boundaries and enhance obstacle recognition, rendering GPS unnecessary.

Also, two large grippy wheels and a steering wheel facilitate maneuverability. The top of the unit features a manual cutting height adjustment knob, while larger models offer electrical adjustment. Additionally, the battery compartment houses Worx’s 20-volt power share batteries. The smaller units come with a smaller capacity battery, which you can replace with a larger one.  

It also features a small control panel where all current messages are displayed and where you can make the most important settings on the device, accompanied by a conspicuous red stop button. The inclusion of a rain sensor prompts the unit to return to its charging base during precipitation and resume work when conditions are dry.

On the underside, the floating mowing deck incorporates a cutting disc and three spinning blades for adaptable mowing on uneven surfaces. Moreover, the IPX5-certified design allows for easy cleaning with a garden hose, emphasizing practicality in maintenance.

Usability and setup

As you know by now, the Landroid Vision works without a boundary wire, so the setup is easy. All you need to do is assemble the charging station, which consists of a total of four parts simply plugged together. You should place the docking station at a level surface, ideally shaded and accessible from a power supply, insert the battery, and manually push the unit into the station so that it can be fully charged.

To connect the robot with the app, you can find a QR code under the battery compartment, which you can scan with the app. 

Landroid Vision magnetic strips

When you want to restrict the mower to specific zones of your garden where there Ai can’t detect clear texture differences, you can use the included magnetic strips. This means that all free-standing flowers, slopes over 30% inclination, and areas that should not be mowed must be delimited with the magnetic strip; otherwise, the mower will simply continue driving. The major problem with this is that the strips included may not be sufficient depending on your needs. You can always buy extra, but it is an extra cost.

The Landroid Vision has a multi-zone feature. Since the robot does not work with boundary wires and does not voluntarily leave the mowing area, you must inform it using the so-called RFID tags. These green rings are based on radio frequency technology. 

The installation is simple; for a zone change, you need two RFID tags that can be placed directly opposite each other at a distance of up to 6 meters. Once the unit reaches an RFID tag while traversing the lawn, it makes a 90-degree turn and lands on the other RFID tag in zone number two. In total, up to three zones are possible. The good thing is that the mower doesn’t need the station, so you can place it in another area and let it mow there.


Maintaining the Landroid Vision is a straightforward and time-efficient process. Regular checks and cleaning of the cutting blades are essential, with replacement recommended after extended use. Keeping a watchful eye on the wheels to remove dirt or mud buildup, especially following rainy days, is crucial to ensure smooth operation. Additionally, inspecting the wheels regularly prevents potential blockages.

During wintertime, storing the mower in a dry place instead of leaving it outside is advised to extend its lifespan. Cleaning the underside of the unit is a breeze; a simple garden hose can effectively remove excess dirt, maintaining optimal performance. With these easy maintenance practices, the Worx Vision remains in top condition, ready to tackle lawn care tasks with ease.

Should you buy it?

The Landroid Vision offers an enticing prospect with its boundary wire-free operation, providing a convenient and easy setup. However, it is essential to acknowledge that this technology is relatively new, and despite its merits, there are still some imperfections and errors to be addressed. 

Additionally, the unit comes with a higher price tag, necessitating a larger budget. While the cutting performance is commendable, the Worx Vision is not flawless, leaving room for improvement in its software and navigation. 

Consequently, considering the current state of the product, it might be prudent to wait for further advancements before making a purchase. Once the software and navigation gets better, the Landroid Vision has the potential to become one of the greatest choices for anyone looking for a boundary-free robot lawnmower with excellent cutting capabilities.
